Data Sources

• BLS Occupational Employment Projections Data gives outlooks on salaries and job market growth
• Department of Education (ED) IPEDS data: C{year}_A contains information on the number of degrees awarded by school by year by level.
• ED CIP/BLS Crosswalk connects degrees (CIP) to professions (BLS)
• Department of Education (ED) IPEDS data: c{year}dep contains information on the number of degrees per CIP and the number partially and fully delivered remotely.
• Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics provides more detailed employment and wage information by state.

Assumptions/Warnings

• The crosswalk is specific to professions, but this belies the value of a liberal education unlocking careers across the spectrum
• C(year)_A data is queried specifically to Award Level 5 (Bachelor's degree)
• c{year}dep numbers for partially and fully delivered remotely were combined to indicate online potential.
• Information on Cedarville University is generally taken from ED, not local, data
• BLS data sources seem to be taken at different points in the year, so occupational data does not always match OEWS data.
